The MHS Library will be celebrating Teen Tech Week the week of March 11-15. During this week students will have the opportunity to try hands on challenges and activities with many of the newest technologies for education. Some activities include learning to code with the Sphero kit. Using holographic technology to explore different countries and cultures. Testing out how to fly a drone and learning all the ways drones are used today. Building a human circuit and using it to light up and LED! Just check them out below!
We will also be giving away a door prize everyday of the week, all you have to do is come to get your name entered in the drawing! However, every time a student successfully completes a challenge he/she will have the opportunity to enter their name again.
Challenges and Activities
Sphero Challenges: Block challenges are what come before coding. They are a simply way to start understanding the more complex ways of JavaScript coding.

Challenge #5: Mini Golf: Write a program using either blocks or Java that will allow the Sphero to drive down to the X. If you get it right the first time its a hole in one! Keep reprogramming until you get to the X keep track of how many times it took. That is your sore. Student with the lowest score wins!.
HoloLens Activities: Use the various apps to access each challenge. Listen and read all the vocab and take the quiz for each. Challenge #1 Human Heart, Challenge #2 Visit Peru, Challenge #3 Mechanics

MergeCube Activity: Challenge #1: Use the Dig App on the iPad to create the tallest tower you can. Challenge #2: Find a free app and learn how to use it. Challenge #3: Use the App Mystical Moon Oracle to take the quiz and answer questions. Challenge #4: Use the App HoloGobe and see how land formations you can list.
