This tool supports the AASL Learning Framework for Learners by allowing students to evaluate and share information with each other. According to the AASL shared foundations and commitments learners are to, "Make meaning for oneself and others by collecting, organizing, and sharing resources of personal relevance."
This is a great way for us as educators to understand why students choose the information they did and to show student thinking. It also helps students layout the framework for their research, helping them decipher through online information and only picking information that accurately supports their research.
